EDAM elevator drives have been designed as a modular system, which enables the elevator manufacturers to design and define individual parameters according to their specific, unique requirements.

The machine has been designed with three-phase AC synchronous motors (permanent magnetic excitation). All the features demanded in an advanced, state-of-the-art elevator drive have been united in the machine: compact overall design, extremely low noise level, low operating costs, high reliability and superior controllability.

The gearless elevator drive is designed for applications without machine room and as a means to bring elevators with machine room up-to-date.

Minimum space is required in the hoistway as a result of the compact overall design.
